Enjoy a scenic walk along the Verde River while searching for migrating songbirds in a mix of riparian and desert habitats. This is a great opportunity to discover hidden gems along the river corridor.
Date: Wednesday, May 13 Time: 7:30–10:00 AM Meeting Point: Bignotti Picnic Site parking area Directions: Drive east on 260. At the roundabout, turn toward Thousand Trails. Take the first left onto unpaved FS 174A and continue 1.4 miles to parking. What to Bring: Water, snacks, binoculars, camera, scope, sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing About the Location: This area combines sandy riverbanks with riparian vegetation and desert habitat.
