Motus Student Grant Reports & Presentations

The Motus Student Grants support emerging researchers and conservationists using the Motus Wildlife Tracking System to better understand bird movement, behavior, and conservation needs. Through this program, students design and carry out projects that contribute meaningful data to a growing international network of scientists and conservation practitioners.

This pilot cohort represents a partnership between the Northern Arizona Audubon Society (NAAS) and NGO Chicatana’s bird conservation program, Observatorio de Aves de Tlaxiaco (OATL), supporting student-led research across the U.S. Southwest and southern Mexico.

Below, you can explore reports and presentations from our first cohort. Read the full project reports or watch student presentations to learn more about their work, focal species, and key findings.
