Kachina Wetlands, June 14th, 7:00 - 9:00 a.m.
Kachina Wetlands is beautiful and birdy during the early hours of June. Come join sharp-eyed Sky Schipper, who will help you see and hear everything, from Marsh Wrens to Ospreys. This is a good time to improve your swallow identification skills, too.
Meet at the entrance to Kachina Wetlands at 7 am. Please bring binoculars if you have them, along with water, a hat, and sunscreen. The walk will be about two miles over flat terrain on packed dirt. Wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms, so plan accordingly.
Directions: From Flagstaff, take 1-17 south to the Kachina Village exit. Immediately turn right onto Tovar Trail and follow it for a mile to the end. Turn right into an unpaved parking area.
