Build your Birding Skill Sanctuary Sites Conservation Counts
Del Rio Pond & Verde River, Thursday, March 6th, 9-11 AM. We will meet at the Del Rio Pond at 9 to look at waterfowl, domestic and wild. Directions: Travel west on 260 out of Cottonwood. Turn left on Del Rio Drive and drive about 1/2 mile where the pond will be on your right. Then we will caravan to the intersection of Cayuse and Comanche where we will park and walk a short distance along the Verde River on mostly even surfaces to look for remaining wintering birds with hopes of see new comers. No bathrooms are available. Bring your binoculars, water, and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes. If you have any questions, text Kristen Rothrock who will lead at 928 634 3634.
