Fall migration is in full swing, which means Kachina Wetlands could surprise us with new arrivals, from ducks to shorebirds. Please join Northern Arizona Audubon to search for the unexpected while enjoying the year-round residents. The field trip leader is Kay Hawklee, a highly skilled birder and a superb trip leader.
Due to the popularity of Kachina Wetlands, RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED to limit group size to 12 people and provide a quality experience for participants. To reserve a spot, please fill out the form above.
Please bring binoculars if you have them, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water. Although the route is gravel, it is wheelchair accessible. No bathrooms are available.
How to get there: From I-17, take the Kachina Village exit, immediately turn right onto Tovar Trail, and follow it one mile to the dirt parking lot at the end. Trip participants will meet in the parking area.
Northern Arizona Audubon Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to engaging people in appreciating and protecting birds and the places they need.
