Build your Birding Skill Sanctuary Sites Conservation Counts
Mingus Mountain, Thursday, May 16th, 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
We will meet at Safeway in Cottonwood, combine cars and head up Mingus Mountain. Hike Butterfly Trail, visit Mingus lake and dam, then Powerline Tank near Potato Patch Campground. Hoping for migrant warblers: Townsend’s, Hermit, Virginia’s, Grace’s, Red-faced, Nashville Warblers and Painted Redstart. All three nuthatches, House Wren, Hermit Thrushes, Band-tailed Pigeons, and more. Bring hiking boots, hiking poles, hats, water, snacks, cameras, etc. Bathrooms are available at several of the stops.
