Indian Gardens in Oak Creek Canyon - and beyond, Wednesday, May 22nd 7:30 – 10:00
*NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION - The campground is closed this summer and the parking is inaccessible!
So, we'll meet across the road from Indian Gardens Market.
Park across the street from the market and look for bird geeks with binoculars. We'll bird the area around there, then head north into a neighborhood that has a ton of birds. Specifically in search of migrants and other local species within the mixed riparian. There will be a restroom available after the walk at the deli where you may choose to eat Brunch! If we make it all the way to the top of Julie Lane, there is another private restroom.
Suggested: Wear hiking shoes and bring hiking sticks/poles if needed to ascend a steep hill. Along with the usual items (binoculars, cameras, water, snacks, hats, field guides, etc). For any additional info please contact Kay Hawklee via email: khawklee@gmail.com; text (432)-703-0007.
