Build your Birding Skill Sanctuary Sites Conservation Counts
April Fool's Day is 1 of the best days to explore the habitat along Oak Creek for birds that could fool you. Some fool you by their calls, others by their behavior and plumage. Even size and shape can trick you. Be not fooled anymore. There are pit toilets available. Large cottonwoods, agricultural fields, and dense riparian habitat invite a variety of birds. The trails are mostly flat but roll a bit as we approach the creek. Bring water and a snack, wear sturdy shoes and a hat. Dress according to the weather. Directions: Take 89A to Cornville Road. Drive about 2 miles to Windmill Park that will be on your left. Kristen Rothrock will lead. Contact her if you have any questions at bkrothrock@gmail.com or 928 634 3633.
