Trick or Treat – Ogden Ranch Rd and Black Canyon Trail – Saturday, October 28th, 8:00 - 11:00 - with Kay
Turn onto Ogden Ranch Road in Cottonwood. We'll park on the right and combine cars and drive Ogden Ranch road for sparrows (using walkie talkies) - then hike a mile or so of Black Canyon Trail. The distance depends on the wishes of the group and the presence or absence of birds.
We are looking for a variety of sparrows, bluebird, either Western or Chihuahua Meadowlarks, Loggerhead Shrike, Juniper Titmouse on the way to the hike. During the hike we have chances to see Green-tailed Towhee, Sage and Crissal Thrasher, etc.
Bring good hiking boots, water, hiking poles if needed, snacks, sunscreen, etc.
Who knows what birds are lurking out there? Muahahaha! (evil laughter) We won’t until we get there!
