CANCELLED DUE TO SMOKE: Fall Birding at Kachina Wetlands
Saturday, Oct 21st
8:00 am – 10:00 am
Kachina Wetlands is beautiful in October, not only for the crisp view of the San Francisco Peaks but for the brilliant colors of ducks wearing their new fall plumage. Fall sparrows, though, can be tricky to identify. October 21st is your chance to improve your identification skills with the help of Kathryn Hart, field trip leader, who is highly skilled in bird ecology and identification.
Meet at the entrance to Kachina Wetlands at 8 am. Please bring binoculars if you have them, and also water, a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
Kachina Wetlands is wheelchair accessible, but there are no restrooms. Contact kathrynbirder@gmail.com if you have questions.
