Build your Birding Skill Sanctuary Sites Conservation Counts
The VVPOA Cottonwood - Friday, October 20th, 8-11 am.
The VVPOA (Verde Valley Property Owners Association) invites us to visit their riparian park Friday, October 20th. Directions - Driving on to 260 from Cottonwood, turn left at Del Rio, Left on Spanish Rowel Trail which becomes Diablo Drive, Left on Rock trail, Left on Broken Saddle Trail which ends at Comanche Drive. Park on Comanche, where will begin our walk.
From here, we will walk .3 mile to enter preserve at the Cottonwood ditch return. We will walk on paths along the Verde River looking for late migrants and winter residents.
No bathrooms are available. Wear study shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather. Bring binoculars, water, snacks, and guide books. For any questions, contact the leader, Kristen Rothrock at bkrothrock@gmail.com or text her at 928-634-3633.
