Cancelled - Tavasci Marsh which has been on fire. All trails in Tuzigoot are closed.
Dead Horse State Park - Monday, April 10th, 8-11 AM.
Directions: Go into Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Turn left on Flycatcher Road and drive to the end of the road. Meet at the Tavasci Marsh parking lot. There are no restrooms in this part of the park. We will walk above the river to look down at the flood debris, follow a path through the mesquite bosque to a diversion dam and loop back to vehicles. Expect to see Az residents: Verdin, Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Bewick's Wren, Abert's Towhee. Maybe before they depart during the warm season: Yellow-rumped Warbler, White-crown Sparrow, Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Wear sturdy shoes. Bring water, snacks, binoculars and a guide book.
