Build your Birding Skill Sanctuary Sites Conservation Counts
Join NAAS leaders at the feeders at Dead Horse Ranch State Park on the 4th Wednesday of each month to learn more about birds while observing them. Research shows that this type of experiential learning is the best way to increase your birding skills. There is no distraction; such as, navigating terrain. You just watch birds through binoculars, while a NAAS guide teaches about the species being observed.
Take the 1st right on Owl Rd after entering the park using your AZ State Park pass, or tell the folks at the entry booth you are there for the Big Sit. Look for cars parked on the right and follow the well-groomed trail North to the large Cottonwood with picnic tables.
