Build your Birding Skill Sanctuary Sites Conservation Counts
Woods Canyon Trail, Friday, March 14th, 7:30-10 AM. Meet at the Red Rock Ranger Station lower parking lot at 7:30. (The Red Rock Ranger Station is 1 mile south of the Village of Oak Creek along Hwy 179). Plan to walk approximately 3 miles round-trip on a fairly level well maintained trail. We will be looking for late wintering birds, early migrants, and resident birds such as Crissal Thrasher, Canyon Towhee, Rock Wren, and Rufous-crowned Sparrow. Be sure to bring water, snacks, binoculars, sunscreen, wide-brimmed hat, good walking shoes, etc. Restrooms at the visitor center will only be open after the hike. Questions?
